Microsoft's New Search Engine: Google Killer?

After weeks of speculation, Microsoft Company has announced the launch of Bing on June 3rd. Will these be a Google killer? Well, Bing has a number of innovative features and it is expected that we will see some changes in the search industry. But Google will not be standing there doing nothing.

Here's a quote from Search Engine Watch

But Google isn't going to stand still, as we saw with last night's stealth increase in Google's index to a reported 8 billion pages, which means Google is likely working with a full index of more than 10 billion items—roughly twice the size of Microsoft's web index.
There are rumors that Microsoft plans to attack Google in their upcoming ad campaign. Bing is significantly different form Microsoft's current search engine - live search. But is it really better than Google? Microsoft would be working hard to make people try the new search engine. Well, I've read on a forum, a comment from the New search engine. He said that it will be a failure because they're just changing the name and that tactics won't help. I guess he knows what he is saying =D.

The question now here guys is, Will Bing, be our next search engine?

Testing Macuha's Twitter Followers Method

I would like to thank Carlo for this. Macuha have added 2000+ targeted followers in one week! I got curious on how he did that. I got a copy of e-books on black hat methods on how to increase twitter followers. I also got some software for that. But I've never use them anyways. I wanna try Macuha's method starting this week and I'm gonna report to you what I have achieved the following week. Meanwhile here's a quote from Macuha's blog regarding the method.

I’ve been following John Chow’s advice since last week on how to get more targeted Twitter followers. Here is his advice in a snapshot:

1. Search on search.twitter.com for keywords in your niche.
2. Follow all the twitter users on the search results.
3. These users will starts following you back.
4. After 48 hours, unfollow all those that did not follow back using friendorfollow.com.
5. Rinse and repeat.
Just like what he said, this is a slow and painful way, but still effective on getting followers. For just a week of doing it, I already have 2300+ followers, I started with 300+ followers last week. See the graph below!

However, I did not strictly follow his advice and did some change of plans to make it faster, almost semi-automatic. Here’s what I actually did:
Instead of doing a search for the keywords on my niche and painfully following each user on the result, I simply follow John Chow’s followers! :D Why? Following each user on the search results takes time: you click on one of the search result to open his twitter page, wait for the page to load, then you click the follow button, then close the page and move to the next user. That really takes time. However, following John Chow’s user is simple. You open his follower’s page and click the follow button all the way from the top to bottom. You can follow 20 users in less than a minute. :) Since we are on the same “Make Money Online” niche, I’m sure that his followers are of the same interest as mine. Easy, isn’t it? :D
I also modified step 4 to make my life easier. Instead of using the friendorfollow.com site, where you get a list of people you follow who don’t follow you back, then you open their twitter page and unfollow them that takes a lot of time, I used tweepular.com instead! With Tweepular, you can get the list of people who don’t follow you back and you can easily unfollow them with a single click of your mouse. No visiting their twitter page. A single click, and 200 of them are unfollowed in an instant. Almost instantly. Almost automatic!
What’s the purpose of getting tons of Twitter followers? Lots of followers mean lots of people reading your tweets. It’s easier to get your voice out there, specially if your followers are targeted and know exactly what you are tweeting about. Some people are actually making lots of money because of this. And I want to be one of them. :D Maybe, in the near future.

OMG! I Just Got Over1000 Followers Today on twittercut.com!

This is another twitter scam on the loose! Hundreds of users were unwillingly posting the " OMG! I Just Got Over 1000 Followers Today on twittercut.com! " This scam was simple. Users enter the link then log their username and password and find their account automatically twitting the spam message.

I've checked the site and no doubt it looks like twitter....yeah a lil' bit. People who are not tech savvy might ignore the URL and continue entering the website. And of course the said 1000 followers is nowhere to be seen.

Beware of FaceBook Phishing!

Phishing is a cyber crime. How is it done? Hackers trick user victims to give their username and password to websites that looks like legitimate. If you give your username and password, the hacker could hi-jack your account and use it for his purpose. The latest biggest scam on Facebook was the ponbon.im, check121. im or the check151.im. If you receive such emails, delete it without clicking the link.

Protect Yourself from Facebook Phishing

  • Always be aware of the URL of the website you visit. The correct URL of Facebook is http://facebook.com/

  • Learn on how subdomains are named. A subdomain is a small domain inside a bigger website. The standard name of subdomains is written before the domain name. Example http://subdomainname.domainname.com. So if you see http://facebook.phishing.com then it is not FaceBook

  • Do not give your account info. I've read another FaceBook scam that is about quiz. It sends you a free quiz but at the end it will request for your phone number. If you give your phone number then you will be charge big bucks. Always look on the right URL and don't rely on the appearance of the web because anyone could replicate its design but not the URL.

  • Learn from previous scams. There are previous articles on FaceBook scams. Learn from them.

Offline Blog Advertising!

There are a lot of online ways to promote your blog. But guess what, you could also do it offline! How?

Do you have vehicles at home? PUVs or Private ones? Then try customizing its body painting with your blog icon! You could do it with any other vehicles. Your blog gained more exposure to passengers and other people. You could also put stickers of your blog on it.

You could also make a customize shirt, jerseys, shorts etc with your blog  logo on it. People tend to look on designs so make a good looking one. A thing of beauty stays in mind of the people. Take advantage of that.

Earning Money With Your Less Traffic Blog

High traffic blogs have definitely the potential to earn. But it doesn't mean that your traffic stinks, you won't earn anything. I listed some ways on how to earn from a blog with less traffic.

1. Sell Ad Spaces

Go into some webmasters forums like Digital Point, Pinoy Money Talk, or Warrior Forums. Offer your services on the websites mentioned. Since your blog traffic is low, the price of your ad space must also be low. You can start with $1. Yes! You've read it right! For only $1, some advertisers tend to play safe and choose the cheaper ones. This is a good start for your monetization.

2. Paid Reviews

You can go websites like BuyBlogReviews and Sponsored Reviews . If your blog has a Page rank, take advantage of this. But some are still interested to no PR blogs. Earnings are small but it is better than nothing right? Just make sure to offer no follow links or you get penalized by Google.

3. Paid Links

Wordpress users and Movable Type could go to sites like Text Link Ads. You earn by placing some text links on your blog. I am a blogger user, TLA does not support blogspot. But you could offer such service by doing it private. Warning, Google hates TLAs. So choose other third party text links ad network.

This is just some of other ways to earn with your less traffic blog. Subscribe to my blog for more!

ClickBank is Now Available in the Philippines!

Long ago, when I was a newbie, I kept on hearing ClickBank as good source of money. But then I've learned that it is not available in the Philippines. But wow! Guess what? Its door is now open in the Philippines.

ClickBank is not entirely new. But it is just this year that ClickBank included Philippines on its list of available countries. Oh by the way, ClickBank is an affiliate marketing program. You earn on making a sale on products or services that you do not own. You just promote it using your affiliate link. But I forgot to mention that you could also sell your own products if you have.

To earn on ClickBank, follow these steps.

  • Register for an account at ClickBank
  • Once accepted, browse through their Marketplace and choose the products you want to promote. There are several categories and products so you won’t run out of things to earn money from!
  • Generate the Clickbank hoplink (or referral link) for the product you wish to promote. Make sure you copy this correctly because this is the only way for Clickbank to track earnings.
  • Advertise your hoplinks any way you want! Make a blog post about it, link it on your sidebar or links page, email it to your friends (but don’t spam) or create a site about it. (Our sample Clickbank hoplinks can be found on the right.)
  • Wait for your earnings to come.

How to Earn Money Online?

There are many ways in making money online. I will enumerate this up for you. I have tried almost all of them. Just stay focus. You won't get it in just single night.

1. Contextual Advertising

This is the basic way of earning online. Create a blog or a website. Put unique and quality contents. Optimize your website or blog to search engines, promote and deliver organic and targeted traffic. Then sign up to Google Adsense, Bidvertiser, Adbrite etc. Place the ad code on your site and when a visitor click the ad you put, you earn per click. The value of click depends on your keywords. The higher the click, more earnings!

2. Selling Ad Space

In order to attract advertisers on your blog or website, it must be updated frequently and must have consistent amount of traffic. There are networks you could sign up for selling your ad space like Text Link Ads, Chitika, Linkworth and etc. You could also do private ad serving.

3. Paid Blogging

You get paid per posting on blog topic you are assigned to. Primary requirements is that you have a blog of 3 months old, have unique contents. A high PR blog is much okay. Two of the greatest sites to sign up is Payperpost and Reviewme. You could also try Sponsored Reviews, Buy Blog Reviews.

4. Paid Freelance Service ( Seo Services, Data Entry, Article Rewrite, etc)

You can go to these sites if you are interested in freelance: Odesk, eLance, Getafreelancer, Scriptlance etc. Build a reputation and apply for the jobs. Admission is of comptence but try and try. You will get admitted soon.

5. Affiliate Marketing

Sell someone's products or services and get paid for commissions. ClickBank, Commission Junction, Pepper Jam Network are good sites that offer such services.

6. Sell Online

If you have your own product or services then try selling on eBay, Amazon, Alibaba, etc. Just beware of scammers. There are a lot of them.

7. HYIP and Autosurf Websites

Warning: 99% of these are scammed sites. Try only the new sites and don't focus on one. If you get paid once then find another. You can double, triple or even 10 times the profit you earn here. But that was only luck.

8. GPT Sites (Get Paid To)

There are a lot of websites you can try. Try googling Get Paid to Click Sites. The best as of now was Neobux. You could also try Get Paid to Write Content on AssociatedContent or Bukisa. You could also do paid reviews.
